European patent publication for innovative, biodegradable drainage pipe
At Alldrain we have been focusing on innovation within sustainable water management for years. Today we are therefore particularly proud that a new European patent has been published for our biodegradable, liquid-permeable pipe.
An alternative to classic drainage pipes
Traditional drainage and infiltration pipes are usually made from fossil-based plastics such as PVC or PE. These remain in the soil for long periods, even long after their functional lifespan. The new pipe described in our published patent provides an answer to that problem.
The structure is designed in such a way that it optimally fulfills its function – allowing water through and aerating soil – during a predetermined usage period. Afterwards, the material biodegrades without leaving harmful residues. This way it contributes to a cleaner and more circular approach within soil and water management.

Temporary function, permanent impact
What makes this innovation so unique is the combination of technical performance and environmental friendliness. After breakdown, no visible or harmful residues remain, reducing the risk of microplastic pollution to zero. A solution that perfectly aligns with the future vision of circular construction and sustainable landscape management.
Together towards a sustainable future
The publication of this patent underlines the importance of continuous innovation in our sector. At Alldrain we strongly believe in solutions that not only perform technically, but are also future-oriented and ecologically responsible.
