Alldrain is exploring opportunities to use recycled materials and further enhance the sustainability of its production process!

In terms of material transition, we’re making significant investments in bio-based and biodegradable raw materials. Naturally, such a transition takes time, and we won’t shift entirely from fossil-based to bio-based materials within just a few years.

These are compelling reasons for Alldrain to continue optimizing and making our fossil-based production process more sustainable as well.

We’ve meticulously mapped all (waste) material streams generated during the production of our PVC pipes. We then investigated whether and how these material streams could be reintroduced into the standard production process. This starts with reusing start-up material and extends to incorporating post-consumer material!

With modest support from VLAIO, we were able to investigate which streams are viable for recycling and assess their potential impact. The research findings form the foundation for further optimization of our production process. The first improvements have already been implemented.

This demonstrates that even in the production of our PVC pipes, we’re working on innovative techniques for a greener future, aligning with our sustainable and environmental ambitions!
