With the addition of Green Legacy products, Alldrain is expanding its range across the Netherlands, Belgium, and northern France. Green Legacy is an Austrian company specializing in innovative, biodegradable soil additives designed to combat drought and improve water management in agriculture and horticulture, viticulture and fruit growing, forestry, and landscape architecture.

The benefits of using these soil additives are wide-ranging:

Why choose Green Legacy?

Our product benefits

It reduces yield loss caused by drought.

It cuts irrigation needs by up to 50%, saving time, operational costs, and water.

It reduces the risk of drought damage during extended dry spells.

It promotes root development and overall plant health.

It boosts soil biology and microbial activity.

It supports healthy and vigorous plant growth.

These products deliver a long-lasting effect of 3 to 5 years.
On top of that, they gradually break down in the soil, improving soil porosity and increasing water permeability.

How does it work?

The science behind Polygrain

These granules act as an extra reservoir of water and nutrients for plants. They absorb 200 to 300 times their own weight in water and dissolved nutrients, capturing rainwater, irrigation water, and rising capillary water that would otherwise drain away or evaporate.

When soil moisture is depleted after a prolonged dry period, plants draw water and nutrients from the granules through their fine root systems. This stored water and these nutrients are then taken up by the plant.

Once the water has been released, the granules will reabsorb moisture as soon as it becomes available again.

As a result, plants don’t suffer from drought stress and have a steady supply of the nutrients essential for healthy growth.

Polysorb

Polysorb offers a compact solution for efficient water retention in the soil. Unlike our all-in-one product Polygrain, Polysorb focuses exclusively on the superabsorber function, enabling high levels of water retention. The superabsorber effectively stores more than 300 times its own weight in water and dissolved plant nutrients, supporting plant growth even during extended dry periods. It is fully broken down in the soil by micro-organisms and remains active for 3 to 5 years.

Thanks to its pure composition, Polysorb is cost-effective and the ideal choice for new and replanted plots, as well as for post-treatment in arable farming, vegetable growing, and fruit cultivation.

Polygrain

Polygrain is made up of cellulose, a superabsorbent for water storage, and a starter fertilizer. It is biodegradable and can store up to 200 times its own weight in water. The organic component breaks down quickly in the soil through microbial activity, while the superabsorbent degrades more slowly. This ensures both a strong short-term effect and a long-term impact of over 3 years — which is crucial for the successful establishment and growth of new plantings. This soil improver also contains a starter fertilizer.
