Within the framework of the When Nature Strikes Back project, we have decided to start sinus mowing and in this way create paths on our meadow next to the company.
By mowing in this way we obtain a varied landscape which has an inspiring effect for the neighborhood. Moreover, we can link an educational component to this about the advantages of sinus mowing and this can serve as an example for other companies.
Biodiversity is promoted as flowers bloom longer and spread more easily. This is important for bees, butterflies and other insects. Smaller animals also benefit; hedgehogs and birds find shelter in the unmowed pieces of grass.
On a larger scale this can have a major impact on an ecological level through a sequence of niches.
