At Alldrain we are aware of the impact that drainage pipes can have on the environment, especially when they remain in the soil after use. That’s why we have developed a new type of drainage pipe: Verdiflex, an innovative, biodegradable drainage pipe that breaks down naturally after its technical lifespan. This way we contribute significantly to reducing microplastics and soil pollution.
We continuously invest in research and development to contribute to healthy, clean and safe soil, water and air. Another area where we actively innovate is tree aeration. Traditional PVC aeration remains in the ground for decades, even long after the tree has fully grown. The result? Crumbling microplastics. At Alldrain we therefore produce biodegradable tree aeration systems that break down into natural substances after their function. By innovating in material use and production techniques, we strive to help the sector stay one step ahead.
Our focus is on finding the right balance: drainage pipes and aeration systems that perform optimally during their technical lifespan, but have no lasting impact on the environment afterwards. Because at Alldrain we believe that good drainage and care for the environment can go hand in hand.

Trees in urban environments often have a hard time. Due to compacted soil, the roots receive insufficient oxygen, which strongly affects the growth and health of the tree. Traditionally, this problem is solved with PVC aeration systems that direct air to the roots. But these plastic pipes remain in the ground for decades, even long after the tree has matured and no longer needs the system.
The problem with conventional PVC tree aeration is that it eventually crumbles into microplastics. These small plastic particles pollute the soil and can end up in plants, animals and ultimately humans through the food chain. Especially in urban areas, where trees are often close to playgrounds and homes, this is a worrying development.
At Alldrain we have developed a sustainable solution: biodegradable tree aeration systems.
